Updated Reporting Specifications for COVID-19 Available

A new version of the COVID-19 reporting specifications (5.0 Release 20200415) has been released. Version 5.0 aligns the Default in RCKMS with the new CSTE Interim COVID-19 Position Statement. Please see release notes below for details.

For your convenience, the RCKMS team has added version 5.0 into your account and copied over your existing external references for COVID-19. To reduce confusion as to which version to use, we also removed old unpublished versions (specifically those with status = “In progress”) of COVID-19 from your account. To adopt the new version, you will need to review the reporting specification and publish the new version to Published to Production status. Once the new version is published, any previously published versions will automatically change to retired status.

A few notes about the new reporting specifications:
First, to align with the interim position statement, the default laboratory criteria has been changed from reporting based on all SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid, antibody (IgA/IgG/IgM) and antigen lab results to reporting based on positive SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid, antibody (IgA/IgG/IgM) and antigen lab results only. If you wish to receive reporting based on all results for laboratory tests or lab orders, you will need to select the optional criteria on the Specifications grid.

Second, version 5.0 contains 4 new default logic sets based on reporting of clincial and epidemiology criteria. Logic set CLIN + EPI 1 is OPERATIONAL, whereas the other CLIN + EPI logic sets are NOT yet supported at this time.

Lastly, in addition to the clinical criteria listed on the Specifications grid, there are seven optional symptoms that users can select. To keep the grid easier to view, these optional criteria were hidden from the Specifications tab. List of optional criteria and instructions to access them are included in the release notes below.
